About me:
Rich graduated from Loughborough University in 2006 with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Rich initially only entered a powerlifting competition because his friend talked him into it due to his impressive gym lifts. This saw Rich break a junior bench press record, benching an impressive 245kg (equipped). Despite enjoying the competition Rich was still unsure about committing himself to powerlifting and toyed with a number of other ideas including rugby, bobsleigh and bodybuilding.

It wasn’t until April 2007 that Rich decided to focus all of his attention towards powerlifting, however, due to a hamstring tear he missed the national championships. In order to maximise his potential, Rich consulted some of the top names in the sport and by autumn 2007 Rich had re-modelled his training philosophy.

Results in early 2008 have looked promising for Rich and his new training method seeing him break all the existing raw national records for his weight class and federation. Rich is currently in training for the national championships to be held in mid July.

Supplements

XL Beta is a very new supplement on my list. A number of the top powerlifters in the world are taking this supplement for its effects on recovery and also as an excellent aid to assistance days when reps get slightly higher. I look forward to seeing the results I get from its addition.

XL Whey+ is a staple in my diet. Due to the large quantity of food and protein I need to consume, I tend to use XL Whey+ for a number of my meals each day. I also use a large dose of XL Whey+ after all of my workouts.

XL Omega is one of my top rated supplements. This is a must have supplement for anyone, not just athletes and gym goers. In particular I use this supplement for its renowned protective effects on and improvement of cardiovascular health.

XL Creatine is just one of those supplements that everyone should use. It’s proven to work so there is no reason why people shouldn’t take it.
